The first of four special events at ROBERT BAR (104 Bond St, Brooklyn) happening every third Wednesday through the rest of the year. Come out to Boerum Hill for cocktail specials as I’m joined by fellow fiend Tony Conquerrah (Shanty Town) for loud psychedelia, hard rock, punk, heavy funk and breakbeats to keep your blood hot.

Next month? HALLOWS with guest Frank Ramos
I love vintage rock but there’s a bunch of new rock in the underground as well and I really enjoy sharing both with new ears.
That’s the goal on Weds July 19th, 8pm – 12am at Robert Bar (104 Bond St in Brooklyn) where along with their menu of great custom cocktails I’ll be slinging Old Time Religion fare live on the decks. Classic psych and rock alongside their newer counterparts. Come have a drink and let’s bang heads, shall we?
Back in early 2013 I started my live stint on BBOX Radio and met, among many creative and cool people, these two badasses. Over the years Tony and Frank have filled in, co-hosted and teamed up with me live and since we’re all on different stations now we decided to team up again for an all-vinyl summer session.
Wanna join in? All you gotta do is attune to our old stomping grounds, BBOXRadio.com, on Saturday July 15th. We’ll be spinning all sorts of wax in the summer heat, starting at 10pmEST and going til we get tired.

A rough week for losses in the rock world. This week has a bit of a country & blues tinge to it in honor of the late Gregg Allman and also a highlight of the bands playing this week’s Chris Cornell tribute brought to you by Rocker Stalker and myself (info below.) Still plenty of garage and psych nuggets for you to sink in to. Have a great week and keep it LOUD.

When Chris Cornell passed away suddenly last week the music world was taken aback to say the least. For myself and many others who gravitated towards rock in the ’90s Cornell’s voice was a touchpoint. Soundgarden TORE through that decade: more metal than their grunge counterparts and more stoner rock than the average metal band, and all the while Chris’ voice sailing through and giving so many a place of refuge. In the early aughts he brought a more melodic and mainstream vibe to his work, but he could still rock. And man, could he sing.
So I thought he needed a tribute. Turns out I wasn’t alone, and Old Time Religion is teaming up with Rocker Stalker & the You Rock Foundation to bring you a charity concert dedicated to Chris Cornell.
Mark your calendar: THURSDAY 6/1 11:30pm til late at Knitting Factory Brooklyn (361 Metropolitan Ave)
Featuring performances from:
The Falling Birds / Glitterbox / Lethal Affection / Lost Kingdoms / Storm Kid
…and solo performances by:
Mike Borgia / Gregory Ferreira (Bushwick Hotel) / Michael Libby / Oliver Myles Mashburn (Swanky Tiger) / Gillian Visco (Shadow Monster)
21+ $12 in advance/ $15 at the door CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS!
ALL PROCEEDS go to the You Rock Foundation, a charity that helps people who suffer from depression fight their way back through rock & roll.
