#1529: Wake Me, Shake Me

Tonight I wanted to try something a little different, less talk and a more organic set.  It’s been a hot, sweaty, tiring week for me and this set reflects that hazy feeling.  I do have some news below, but first…

…press play for steamy set goodness…

…or, if you please, get down with the Spreaker

The big announcement of the night is that, after 2 1/2 years in the Wednesday late night slot, OTRRH is moving to Saturday mornings starting the first weekend in September.  My son starts school then, and waking up at 6am after a late show would really salt my game. Another big change is that I’m reformatting the show a bit, and expanding it to two hours.  So on Saturday, Sept. 5th from 10:30am – 12:30pm, tune in for the first two-hour Old Time Religion Radio Hour.  Hm….maybe Old Time Religion Radio Hours?

In light of the success of my Throwback to Tomorrow series the show is going to be even more of a mixed bag, incorporating those newer artists and playing them alongside the vintage tracks that have inspired them.  Along with that, a longer show will allow me to do more interviews and to have guest hosts come in from time to time.  My hope is that this will bring even more knowledge of the amazing music of the ’60s & ’70s to the table, and enrich the experience of the show overall.   As always, I want to hear what you think, so hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr and let me know what I can do to keep making it better.

Thanks for sticking with me, it really does mean the world…
